Located in Galax, Virginia, The Life Center of Galax is a private drug and alcohol rehab center for the treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction and dual diagnosis. Located in a secluded village in the rolling hills of southwestern Virginia, The Life Center features a multi-disciplinary treatment team of highly experienced professionals, includes a psychologist, a medical director who is certified in addiction medicine, a licensed family therapist, a round-the-clock staff of nurses and several certified addiction counselors. The Life Center hosts daily 12-step meetings, as well as individual, group and family therapy; medical lectures; therapeutic experiential opportunities; and a range of leisure activities.

Because addiction is a family illness, family members and significant others are encouraged to attend the family program each Saturday and Sunday while their loved one is in treatment."
